The BLT Department also needs a half-time retention counselor to continue work with the campus retention specialist to help research, analyze and identify and perform activities specific to our department and programs. Also, to keep students enrolled until graduation, the campus needs to hire a permanent retention specialist to help increase retention and graduation for all programs. To sustain and increase the number of program majors, the Accounting Program needs resources to help improve connections with Department of Education (DOE) feeder schools. However, enrollment for most campuses is declining. Also, improvements in Persistence from Fall to Spring and Persistence from Fall to Fall helped to sustain the number of graduates. The Accounting Program is producing a sufficient number of graduates to satisfy current market demand.
